Detailed Day-by-Day Program
Introductory Session:
- Brief overview, Goal setting, Bridging the gap between academics & industry
Refresher Session:
- Review of fundamentals and case studies & problem-solving session in

Day 2: Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering
Morning Session:
- Fundamentals of water supply systems and treatment processes.
- Practical challenges in water supply systems & WTPs
Afternoon Session:
- Waste water treatment practices and recycling
- Practical challenges in design of sewerage networks & WWTPs
Day 3: WTP, STP, Civil Engineering Construction Site Visits
- Guided tours of WTP and STP facilities.
- Understanding the operation, maintenance, and technology involved.
- Interaction with plant operators and engineers.
- Visit to active construction sites – WTP/Tanks/Pipeline works
- Interaction with site engineers and managers.
- Practical demonstrations of civil engineering practices in action.
Day 4: DPR preparation & Soft Skills
Morning Session:
- Introduction to the structure and key components of a standard DPR – objectives, methodology, cost estimates, implementation timeline etc.
- Group discussion on structuring and presenting Detailed Project Reports (DPR).
Afternoon Session:
- Interactive soft skills workshops – team building, decision & time management.
- Resume-building tips and mock interview sessions.
Day 5: Industrial/Career Opportunities, DPR Presentation & Assessment
Morning Session:
- Interaction with industrial professionals to explore career opportunities and recruitment prospects.
- To familiarize with the latest and most advanced software tools currently used in civil engineering, for efficient design, modelling, structural analysis, construction and project management.
Afternoon Session:
- Hands-on group activity: Drafting and presenting a mini DPR based on a given scenario or project idea.
- Peer review and assessment on drafted DPRs by a panel of experts/officials.
